Sweet and Spicy Drumsticks

With New Year's just around the corner, why not give your taste buds something new with this delicious mixture of sweet and spicy chicken drumsticks. This oven baked recipe is a treat and easy to make for yourself, your family or anyone else that may be ringing in the new year in your company. A wire rack is a must for this recipe as it allows the chicken to be cooked thoroughly and to a safe internal temperature of 165F while on top of a baking sheet. The ingredients should give you the perfect mixture of sweet and hot. The recipe will take a bit of time in the oven but this will allow the chicken to be moist while absorbing all the sauce making it a sticky delight.

When your looking for a recipe about oven cooked chicken fillets, it is not the easiest to find, so I decided to come up with my own. After a few tries I found a perfect combination of time and temperature along with some of my favourite seasonings mixed into the chicken fillet and avoided the mess that comes with cooking the chicken in a frying pan. Some may not enjoy the seasoning mixture that I went with but feel free to use some of your own blends until you have exactly what you want. It is much simpler to buy the chicken breast already filleted at your local grocery store but for those that do not mind adding a little additional time to their prep, go for it. Remember to wash your chicken and handle the fillets with tongs to avoid any contamination.

The holiday season is upon us as we try to enjoy time with family and friends while doing are best to maintain safe as this pandemic rages on. This is one of my favourite dishes growing up with my family, it is quick to make and so delicious you'll be wondering why you did not know about it sooner. The key ingredients to this recipe are potatoes, tuna and eggs and these just can not be substituted if you are looking to maintain an authentic western European style dish. The potatoes can be boiled or baked in the oven, it's really your choice if you are looking for a soft or crispy texture. The recipe below will describe how to boil the potatoes but if you are looking to bake them then what you will need to do is preheat your oven to 400F, mix the potatoes with olive oil sea salt, black pepper and garlic powder and bake covered for 45 minutes then uncover for the final 10 minutes. Add the remainder ingredients to your baking dish as the potatoes are the first to go inside it even if boiled.
