The invention of the air fryer has made even the most inexperienced cooks a wonder to behold, an air fryer will cook a whole chicken much faster than a oven, saving you time and getting the meal quicker into your belly. It is also a healthier cooking option that has minimal prep time. Depending on the size of your air fryer you will need to get a chicken that will fit easily inside and that will not present a problem when you are flipping the chicken over during cooking. For this recipe I used a 5.8QT air fryer and 3.5 pound chicken but you could go as high as a 4 pound chicken with this size. Adjust your chicken size up or down depending on the size of the air fryer that you have. Make sure when it is time to flip your chicken over that you are flipping the chicken over with a large grill spatula, tongs or whatever you can find that will help you flip over the whole chicken.

High-quality chicken breast looks plump and feels firm. It should have a light pink color. Freshness plays a big part in both taste and safety. Some cooks like to leave the chicken breast out on the counter for 15 to 30 minutes which helps the meat cook more evenly from the edge to the center. The key to getting a good taste and a bit of crispiness is to make sure you have the right seasoning and use olive oil to coat the breast and this should help your breast get a golden crust and lock in the juices. Make sure that for an easy clean up  you don't forget to use parchment paper on top of your baking sheet.
