Roasted Green Beans

Side dish recipes

This is a perfect green bean recipe for all those vegetable lovers out there. Green beans go well as a side dish for many different main entrees and this recipe is a good replacement for those that enjoy french fries but would like a healthier option. Roasting the green beans in the oven for an extended period of time will give them a crunchy texture, it will almost be as if you are eating fries but I would think twice about adding any ketchup. The key of this recipe is that when you are roasting the green beans on a baking sheet make sure that you separate them individually so that they roast evenly, use a mixing bowl to season the beans with all the ingredients and mix them together with your hands. Make sure that you keep an eye on the green beans while roasting them in the oven and do not exceed the cooking time or the beans will shrivel up and not bearable to eat.
